The Convention

A poster of an anime convention, although it has parts that one can find at any con. I've been to my fair share in my youth. It was always so much fun. Nowadays I feel like an old-timer, surrounded by overexuberant awkward youngsters and adults who are more comfortable shedding their dignity. You can usually find me hiding in the artist alley.

By the way, Society of Illustrators

The Beginning in the End

A half-page illustration for an essay on transitions in parenting, including sending kids off to college. I drew a mom and two kids on a road trip to school. The car is based on the classic Chevy Impala.

Resume Makeovers

editorial illustration for an article on resume makeovers.

The Universe

I started this, but I don't know if I should finish it, and furthermore...I don't know how to finish it. after i draw and paint all the little eyeballs, they are supposed to become seeds that sprout into flowers along the green mass. but I didn't draw that part yet.

anyway, this was supposed to be part of the Death project, its a map of the universe, kind of. The Stream of Consciousness, The Living, Eden/Atlantis, Heaven and Hell. And Death and a swarm of souls in the center. a failed attempt, perhaps?

Experiment

I'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but there you have it.
