Funny Face: Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire, and Kay Thompson

I rather feel like expressing myself now, and I could certainly use a release!

I've been on an old-Hollywood-musicals kick since last week and one movie I keep coming back to is Funny Face with Audrey Hepburn, Fred Astaire and Kay Thompson (the lady who wrote the Eloise books). It's so romantic and silly and these three are FABULOUS. Two good sequences are Audrey's bohemian ballet solo and Fred and Kay's beatnik dance routine (including fake goatee and beret). You can see the clips I used as reference below.

There's just three words for your caricature of Audrey, Fred and Kay in FUNNY FACE: FAB U LOUS!

If you haven't read it already, you'll get a blast of bazazz reading my book:

Reading this post makes me want to check out "Funny Face" again. I've seen it before, but at the same time, not really. It was more that I had it playing in the background as I was working on boards at work.

Your Audrey Hepburn is to die for. So much attitude and coolness in her expression and pose. I'm starting to think that Michael Jackson got some of his dancing inspiration off her.

Dayum gurl, this is so good!!!! The figures are so expressive and the likenesses are spot-on, especially on Audrey Hepburn.
